Compromised Heroes
Conversations with Brightnose,
Gandhi, Ten Rivers, ben Yosef and others
A Keynote Presentation
"Man is a Quest Hero, a wanderer, a voyager, a seeker after adventure, knowledge, power, meaning and righteousness. The Quest is dangerous and unpredictable. Often in weariness, he wishes he had never set out on it - but it is enjoined upon him by his nature." Loren Eisely, The Unexpected Universe
"Man knows himself completely until he makes his first compromise. The more he compromises the more he takes in that which is not him. Soon he forgets who and what he is. He becomes his name rather than receiving the name that is him." old First American saying
In First American philosophy, Life is seen as a walk down one of two roads. The Red Road is the road of balance, courage and contentment. The Black Road is the road of fear, anger, hate and unhappiness. We get to choose the road we take in our Life Walk.
